Even if infographics have become the next “big thing”, they’re still awesome. These spreads from the Italian mag Intelligence in Lifestyle are perfect examples of how strictly informational text can become art. I’m not sure why infographics have become so popular and attractive to the western mind. It might be because of society’s recent obsession with social networking and spending so much time filtering excessive amounts of information, or maybe they’re just cool and its just finally catching on. I’m inclined to think it has something to do with software and its recent capabilities to make putting together such designs quick and painless, where it used to take much more work. Either way, these exemplify a step in the right direction, but the Intelligence in Lifestyle website lacks in such balance (i.e., its nothing special). Cheers to Francesco Franchi, the creative director behind these prints, and to Shelbyover at ISO50
